Anna was a professional cyclist for ten years and during that time, she proved to be one of the best cyclists in the world. She became Olympic, European, Dutch and double world champion on the road, and was World, European and double Dutch champion on the individual time trial. She also managed to win the Giro Rosa four times, Flèche-Wallonne seven times (in a row!) and pretty much all the classic races like Flanders, Strade Bianchi, Amstel Gold Race, La Course and Liège-Bastogne-Liège.

 

At the end of the 2021 season Anna ended her cycling career and started a new adventure: she is now sports director for her own team, SD Worx Cycling Team. She brings a lot of experience to the team and hopes to pass her knowledge on to a new generation of riders.
